NP-BACTO-PELLETS is a straightforward filter media designed to effectively eliminate nitrate and phosphate from your aquarium. It consists of a blend of natural biopolymers that support the growth and colonization of beneficial bacteria and other aerobic microorganisms that remove these nutrients.

This valuable biomass serves as a food source for filter feeders or can be skimmed off as needed. To use NP-BACTO-PELLETS, place them in a pellet reactor or fluidizing reactor that ensures proper circulation of the pellets. For optimal nutrient removal and gas exchange, it is advisable to use a protein skimmer in marine aquariums.

Before use, soak the NP-BACTO-PELLETS for two hours. Begin with 50 ml of NP-BACTO-PELLETS for every 100 liters / 25 US gallons of aquarium water. If needed, you can double the amount after four weeks, but please remember to not exceed 200 ml of NP-BACTO-PELLETS per 100 liters / 25 US gallons of water.

To maintain effectiveness, we recommend replenishing the NP-BACTO-PELLETS every month to replace any degraded material. For efficient nutrient decomposition, position the outlet of the pellet reactor system close to the inlet of the skimmer.
