Care Magnet — Care for Your Aquarium

The Care Magnet concept was a significant innovation in 2014, revolutionizing the design of window pane cleaners. It features an ergonomic handle and specialized plastic blades made from durable, high-performance plastic.

This glass pane cleaner prevents scratches on the internal aquarium glass, making it safe for use on acrylic panes as well, thanks to the small plastic blade. The inner magnet is positioned more than 3 mm (.2″) away from the aquarium, which helps to avoid jamming with aquarium sand. The two plastic blades are much more effective at removing algae from glass surfaces compared to a flat cleaning tool—almost achieving the performance of a sharp metal blade. The lifespan of a blade can range from several months to approximately one year. The low flow resistance during cleaning, combined with a strong magnetic coupling, makes it very difficult to separate the magnet during use. The larger blade should only be used with the included stainless steel blade for particularly stubborn algae, such as old deposits on side walls or thick calcareous algae.

The use of plastic blades of varying lengths creates different application pressures, allowing the narrow blade to tackle even the most stubborn algae. Meanwhile, the wide blade can handle large-scale algae removal efficiently.

The Care Magnet can also be effectively used on round aquarium panes or those with an arch shape.

The round edges on the plastic blades provide a smooth transition to adjacent panes at the aquarium edges, ensuring that the silicone joints remain undamaged.

This tool does not simply spread algae around the aquarium as green dust; instead, it rolls them up completely, effectively converting the algae film into actual food for your fish.

It can also be utilized as a hand scraper for added convenience.
