Tunze Osmolator 3 Simple and safe water level controller

The Tunze Osmolator 3 is a simple and safe water level controller designed for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. It features an optical control sensor and an independent thermal safety sensor. By maintaining a constant water level, it helps keep the salt concentration stable in saltwater tanks.

This system includes the Turbelle High Jet 5030 metering pump, which comes with built-in dry run and clogging protection, a magnet holder, a branded 12V DC power supply, a hose, and a hose holder. It is suitable for installation in cabinet filter systems or right on the edge of the aquarium. The sensor can accommodate glass thicknesses up to 15 mm (0.59 inches), while the tube holder fits up to 22 mm (0.87 inches).

When the water level drops, the Turbelle High Jet 5030 pump automatically replenishes the water to the desired level. You can choose from two pump power levels. Additionally, an integrated safety sensor will stop the pump in the event of overfilling. To ensure safety, a 10-minute timer limits water release in case of pipe damage.

Maintaining a constant water level not only keeps the salt concentration stable in marine aquariums—provided that ultrapure water is used for refills—but also helps reduce limescale deposits in freshwater aquariums. While refilling with tap water is an option, using ultrapure water is recommended to avoid enrichment. If needed, non-abrasive additives, such as nutrients, fertilizers, and salts, can be added to the refill water.

The large, accurate optical sensor

This sensor detects the water level with precision, achieving accuracy within 0.5 mm and resisting air bubbles, deposits, and scratches. The independent thermal safety sensor will stop the Turbelle® High Jet 5030 pump in case of overfilling, providing complete overflow protection.

The durable high-tech Turbelle® High Jet 5030 metering pump boasts a maximum delivery height of 6.2 m (20.34 feet) and operates quietly, thanks to its true 3-phase sine wave technology.

Plug & Play

All necessary components are included and ready for installation (except for the reservoir). There is no software setup required, as the fixed parameters are based on years of experience.

Includes hose and hose connector

The kit comes with a corrosion-resistant, screw-in push-in fitting (¼ inch BSP to ø6 mm). It also includes a PU hose made entirely in Germany, which is low emission, hydrolysis resistant, microbe resistant, and flexible—ensuring it does not kink during installation.
